Chicago Bears head coach Mark Trestman said Monday,becasuse left ankle sprain in the game lost to the Detroit Lions Sunday,QB Jay Cutler will not participate in this week against the Baltimore Ravens.
Due to Cutler's injury will be observed by week,backup QB Josh McCoy will be starting this Sunday's game.In Sunday's game loss to the Lions,McCoy enter the field in distance game ends only 2:17,leading the team to play a wave 10 file advancing 74 yards attack.And eventually pass to Brandon Marshall get 11 yards touchdown.
Based on the severity of the sprain,Cutler might be absent 4-6 weeks.But it's worth noting that RB Matt Forte in 2012 suffered a similar ankle sprain with Cutler,but he only missed one game,18 days after the injury he participated in the game against the Dallas Cowboys.
In McCoy participated three games this season,he 70 passes 42 times completed,advancing 538 yards,4 touchdowns,passer rating 103.1.McCoy starting for the Bears 3 games,the team 's record is 2-1.He passes 674 yards with 4 touchdowns,3 steals,passer rating 82.5.
